Being in the military requires a lot of change and travel.  You move, get settled, form relationships and then it is time to move again.  Being saved and in the military means that you often have to find a new church home. Before moving to New Jersey, my family visited various churches seeking for a place to worship.  Finding a church home that your spirit bears witness to is not an easy task. 

Shortly after arriving to Monmouth County, my husband’s military duty called for him to go overseas, leaving me to find a place for our daughters and I to worship.  I found and was quickly intrigued by Monmouth Worship Center’s web page.  The cultural and ethnic diversity of the people and the many different ministries they offer inspired me to visit.

From the moment I got out of my car I felt welcomed.  Everyone was very friendly and warm.  The worship was high and the message was inspiring.  When my daughters and I arrived that Wednesday night for discipleship class, Pastor Joe’s wife Jamaine McCain introduced herself and took me around and introduced me to everyone she knew.  She made me feel really comfortable.

That Saturday, Pastor Ken called and spoke with me.  I talked to him for awhile and he invited me to come back that Sunday.  I was at awe.  In all the churches  my family and I have attended, never has the Senior Pastor made a personal call to us.  I decided then that I would go back and have been going every since. 

When my husband came home he was ready to attend MWC.  I had told him so much about my new found church.  The first person he met was Julie whose warm and friendly smile makes everyone feel welcomed.  He soon met Pastor Joe, who made sure that our spiritual needs were being met. 

Monmouth Worship Center is a place where the spirit of the Lord dwells.  Whether you have been going there two weeks or two years, the people are still the same.  They love the Lord and therefore, love others. At MWC, you will be inspired to study and live by the word of God.  We know that it was only God who lead us to Monmouth Worship Center.  He knew our spiritual need, and being the mighty God he is, he lead us to a place that would fill that need.   We are thankful for the opportunity to call Monmouth Worship Center our church home.
