Monmouth Worship Center

Care Center Ministry

The purpose of the Care Center Ministry is to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to nursing homes and care center residents. To accomplish this we reach out with His love through a regular worship service with bible teaching, prayer and friendship.

At this time we go to 4 residences:

The Applewood in Freehold-  Julie Verdi leads the worship service every third Thursday of the month at 10:30 AM.  The team also goes twice a month on Saturday to help with lunch.

The Renaissance  in Marlboro - Faye Turner leads this outreach which is the first Sunday of each month at 2PM

The John L. Montgomery Care Center - Mike Dillon leads the worship services on the 2nd and fifth Sunday at 2PM.

The Willows - Bill Scheerer leads this outreach every third Wednesday evening at 7PM.

If you would like to join us... please contact Marilyn Mauer

The Care Ministry was started in 1990 as a response to the words of JESUS CHRIST in Matthew 25:45

“I tell you the truth whatever you do for one of the least of these you do for me”

FAMILIES MINISTER TOGETHER
AT OUR CARE CENTERS

How beautiful… are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation”   Isaiah 52:7

“Going to the Montgomery Care center blesses me!  The residents are hungry to learn more about Jesus and to worship God, but they are at the mercy of the churches making commitments to come every month.  For many residents this is their last chance to hear and receive the gospel.  Please give one hour a month and make a difference for eternity.”  Karen

Shari - “I like to go because the residents are excited to see me. I like to sing, In the Garden” is my favorite song.

Katie – “Sometimes I pray with the people, they like to see me”

“Our family visits the shut-ins at the Montgomery Care Center because we make a difference to them.  Just a simple touch, a squeeze of their hand, means so much to them.  It is important for our family to reach out beyond our four walls, particularly for our children.  Many of the residents are Christians, but they have no way to get to an outside church.  We bring church to them.  The residents choose to come out of their own free will.  I know that they are touched by God, even if they are unable to physically respond to our ministry. “

WHY MY MOM AND I LOVE THE NURSING HOME MINISTRY

We like to see the people’s faces light up.  We are able to share Christ and bless the people who are handicapped and unable to come to church.  I thank the Lord for this opportunity, because He told us to visit the sick and shut-in’s. He knew they would need encouragement. God Bless... Justin
