Food Pantry
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in.” Matthew 25:35
There are many reasons why people need a food pantry. Single parents, seasonal workers, families dealing with illness or job loss can find help at Monmouth Worship Center’s food pantry. When someone is facing financial challenges, we can offer some relief by providing food and groceries, thereby freeing up money for other bills. The food pantry volunteers can often arrange for the transfer of used furniture, clothing, etc. to a family in need.
One does not need to be a member or even a visitor to our church. We reach out to the greater community. The food pantry is open at approximately 12:45 PM, after the later Sunday service. Appointments can be made for any other time during the week.
Monmouth Worship Center’s food pantry is associated with the Food Bank of Monmouth County, and also relies on donations of food from individuals and organizations. It is under the leadership of Barbara Berman.
